West Norwood Slow Food Festival

Slow food London will be closely involved with the first  West Norwood Slow food Festival  in south London on Saturday March 21st. Some of our members from Slow Food Norwich also hope to be present at what promises to be a very popular food event in London, we hope the first of many!

Slow Food Olive oil tasting at Neals Yard,London

Slow Food Norwich is hosting a joint food event with Slow Food UK at their shop and offices in Neals Yard, Covent Garden on Thursday 15th December. There are two themes for the event that evening, firstly a tasting of five olive oils which are all produced organically by small artisan farmers, three olive oils from Italy, one from Malta and one from Crete. Slow food Norwich and Libera Terra

Slow food Norwich as part of Slow Food International are very pleased to be now working closely with the Libera Terra Organisation from southern Italy and Sicily.
Libera Terra was founded in 1995 by an Italian priest to help farm land and estates which were previously owned by organised crime, mainly the Mafia. The organisation now gives help, advice and coordinates the many efforts of different bodies which are fighting organised crime in southern Italy and Sicily.
