Slow Food Norwich is actively working with other Slow Food groups in East Anglia and also with the large London Slow Food convivium to promote the Slow Food message to a much wider audience. A new convivium has being started in Essex and members of Slow Food Norwich and Slow Food Cambridge will be attending meetings with the members of the new group in March.

We had a meeting with Becky the project manager of the Wells Maltings Project which is working on the regeneration of the Maltings in one of the north Norfolk coastal villages, Wells next the sea.
Becky is working on fund raising projects for this ambitious and exciting development and Slow Food Norwich hopes to be involved by holding food events, cookery demonstrations and markets in the summer and autumn at this beautiful setting in this historic coastal village.  Watch this space for updates and further news of this exciting development.

We are also holding a wine and food evening in Belgravia in London in conjunction with Slow Food London on 29th March 2011 and because of the expected demand this will be a ticket only event. Several other wine and olive oil events are planned in Norwich, Cambridge, Kings Lynn and London throughout 2011.
