Twenty of us, Slow food Norwich members and guests met up at St Benedicts restaurant in Norwich on Friday evening 8th July, kindly hosted by Jayne Raffles of the Raffles group of restaurants in Norwich.
The food was excellent and the evening was a great success, with many of the members meeting only for the first time as we all live and work in different parts of Norwich and Norfolk.
Among those present were the owners of Humpty Dumpty Brewery near Reedham, Brendan from Crush foods near Dereham, Linda from the British Wild flower and plants, Dermott from Olivaverde and Sagraitalia, Aviva from Slow Stuff and some of the members of Norwich Farm Share as well as several guests and members of the public.

Slow food Norwich group members are already making plans for the next social event and we also discussed ideas and plans for the next Slow Food Market in Norwich and also other events which would interest members and the general public alike.
We hope to be able to hold events at least once a month and general social get togethers and meetings every two months and Dermott will be approaching Slow Food in Senigallia Italy to arrange possible visits next year.
Other plans are still being discussed and more news on these will be in our next Blog.
