Slow Food Norwich is holding their first outdoor event at the Forum in Norwich on Saturday 16th April. The event is being held on theatre plain which is next to the main Forum building and 100 yards from the new Chapelfield Shopping Mall.
The Forum has been very supportive of Slow food Norwich and we hope to hold another Slow Food day there in the Autumn after our other events throughout Norfolk in the summer months.

The small food producers and businesses present will include, Crush Foods which make great locally grown oil seed rape oil and pastes, Kitchen Gardens, a local organic box scheme serving Norwich and the surrounding area and Humpty Dumpty brewery. The Wells Maltings project will also be present as will Browns Kitchen and farm shop form Mundford near Swaffham.
Slow food UK will be represented by Laura Billings from the London office and we hope that this event will raise the profile of Slow Food in both Norwich and also more widely in Norfolk.

Slow Food Norwich is also in talks to take part at the large Framlingham Food Festival in Suffolk at the end of April. The festival takes place over three days and attracts over ten thousand visitors and includes a beer festival and live jazz. We hope to have a dedicated Slow food area where some of our members who are also food producers will be able to have their stands.
